Pro-Am Routines: Open (all ages & dance levels) This is a great comp to show off with a choreographed routine, or two, with your Pro.

CABARET
Showtime Cabaret : Open (all ages & dance levels) This is the only competition at RM5 that is open to any style of dance: any ballroom, latin, swing, hustle, hip hop, etc. You may choose one dance, or a combination of dances, for your routine. Example: a Bolero routine, or, a combination of Cha Cha and Bolero. You may dance one routine in each division. Four divisions: Showcase, Classic, Rising Star & Teams. This competition is open to any age, any level of dancer: from Novice to Pro. Each routine must be a minimum of two minutes in length, and no longer than three minutes. See specific rules for each division.
Showcase: (Novice - Pro) choreography, with flare toward lifts,
aerials, acrobatics, and other partner weight-support moves.
Each routine must be a minimum of two minutes in length,
and no longer than three minutes. Costumes are
recommended and will count toward scoring.
Classic: (Novice - Pro) choreography, with an on-the-ground
approach to the dance. Drops, leans, circular movement, and
other partner weight-support moves are allowed, as long as
both partners keep at least one foot on the ground. Each
routine must be a minimum of two minutes in length, and no
longer than three minutes. Costumes are recommended and
will count toward scoring.
Rising Star: (Amateur - No Pros) This division is designed
for the first time competitor, or, competitor who would like
to dance against Novice, Intermediate and Advanced
competitors. (You may be a Teacher, receiving monetary
compensation, but you may not be competing as a Pro in any
dance category). Each routine must be a minimum of two
minutes in length, and no longer than three minutes. Lifts and
drops are allowed. Costumes are recommended, and will
count toward scoring.
Teams: (Novice - Pro) This division consists of teams of eight
or more dancers, comprised of any combination of gender
and/or skill level. The team members will be judged as a
group. Open to all dance styles.
You will be judged on: timing, technique, teamwork, lead/follow, footwork, synchronized movement, musicality, personality.
