West Coast Swing Division
WCS Showcase: Open division (all ages & dance levels: novice to pro). Swing dance that allows choreography, with flare toward lifts, aerials, acrobatics, and other partner weight-support moves. Each routine must be a minimum of two minutes in length, and no longer than three minutes. Costumes are recommended and will count toward scoring.
WCS Classic: Open division (all ages & dance levels: novice to pro). Swing dance that allows choreography, with an on-the-ground approach to the dance. Drops, leans, circular movement, and other partner weight-support moves are allowed as long as both partners keep at least one foot on the ground. Each routine must be a minimum of two minutes in length, and no longer than three minutes. Costumes are recommended and will count toward scoring.
WCS Rising Star: This division is for Novice, Intermediate and Advanced level dancers. (You may be a Teacher, receiving monetary compensation, but you may not be competing as a Pro in any dance category). This competition will be run according to the WSDC Guidelines. Each choreographed routine must be a minimum of two minutes in length, and no longer than three minutes. Lifts and drops are allowed, but are not mandatory. Costumes are recommended and will count toward scoring.

West Coast Swing Competitions: Jack & Jill's, Strictly's, Showcase Division: which includes Showcase, Classic and Rising Star, will adhere to and be judged according to the WSDC Rules and Guidelines.
